Berry Sakharof Coming to Toronto for Yom Ha'atzmaut
This will be the first time the Israeli rocker performs in Toronto.
Isareli rock guitarist and singer-songwriter Berry Sakharof will be playing a show in Toronto for Yom Ha’atzmaut (the national Independence Day of Israel) on April 20. This will be the first time the Israeli rocker performs in Toronto.
Born in Izmir, Turkey in 1957, Sakharof immigrated to Israel with his family at the age of three. He started his music career at the age of 16 playing in bands with his friends. He first gained public attention in the 1980s as a founding member of the popular Israeli rock band Minimal Compact. The band broke off in the later ‘80s but Sakharof continued to produce albums.
He’ll be joined in Toronto by DJ Mark S1 who will be playing Israeli rock classics throughout the night. The show takes place at On the Rox (1600 Steeles Ave. W.). For more information, visit www.motekproduction.com.
