Is Casey Abrams Safe for Another Week?
The judges loved him. Did you?
So. The drama continues for Idol's hairiest contestant.
Casey Abrams, who, as you'll recall, the judges saved last week after America tried to boot him off the show, sang for his life again this week with Elton John's classic (and one of my favourite Elton tunes) "Your Song." The judges ate him up. Randy Jackson called him "absolutely brilliant," Steven Tyler said he was a "true artist" and J Lo said he was "very Casey."
Hmm. Not sure if that bodes well for Abrams, considering America didn't love "very Casey" last week. But I agree with the judges and thought he did a great job tonight -- redeemed himself even.
If I could say one thing to the young singer it would be, "Well played, Casey. Well played." I'd also suggest he shave the rest of his trimmed beard off. Might as well pull out all the stops at this point.
We're on pins and needles waiting to see what happens tomorrow night.
Stay tuned, folks.
