Scarlett Johansson designs Weitzman shoes for charity
Young Hollywood actresses team up with designer Stuart Weitzman to design shoes for charity
Shoe designer, Stuart Weitzman, has paired up with some young Hollywooders to raise funds for ovarian cancer. Scarlett Johansson, Michelle Trachtenberg, Olivia Palermo, and Hayden Panettiere each worked alongside Weitzman to co-design a unique pair of shoes that reflected their respective personalities. All proceeds from shoe sales will go towards Marsha Moses’ research in ovarian cancer at the Folkman Institute in Boston.
The celebrity shoe collection will go up for sale on August 22nd at stuartweitzman.com, and will also be available at the designer’s flagships stores in Beverly Hills, Chicago, and New York City.
Michelle Trachtenberg designed a denim crystal-snake calfskin platform pump with stud detailing down the back of the heel. These shoes will be retailing for $425. Olivia Palermo co-designed a satin strappy ankle-wrap sandal embedded with fuchsia feathers, also retailing at $425. Hayden Panetterie’s shoe is a black suede platform ankle boot with metal hardware, retailing for $498. Lastly, Scarlett Johannson designed a red patent man-tailored cut-out oxford platform with contrast burgundy lacing.
Although the shoes are probably the most unattractive to come out of any Weitzman collection, it’s for charity… so cough up those big bucks and brag to your friends about owning a piece of Hollywood history.
