With the success of Twilight, many of us have forgotten that Nikki Reed first gained recognition back in 2003 when she co-wrote and starred in Catherine Hardwicke’s highly-acclaimed indie flick, Thirteen, with Evan Rachel Wood.

In a recent interview with TheFABlife, Reed explains that her true passion is writing, which she intends to pursue post-Twilight.

“I’m working on a screenplay now… It’s not autobiographical, but it’s based on a distant, distant family member,” Reed begins.

“And I’m writing music with Paul, and I write on my blog all the time. And I’m thinking about a novel idea right now, so writing is probably my number one priority.”

Newlyweds Nikki Reed and American Idol contestant ,Paul McDonald, released a duet entitled “Now That I’ve Found You” which was featured in Breaking Dawn: Part 1.
