Idan Raichel will be coming to Vancouver in April to perform alongside three artists, including guitarist Vieux Farka Touré and Israeli bassist Amit Carmeli.

This won’t be Raichel’s first time in Vancouver. The 34-year-old musician performed in British Columbia back in 2010 as part of the Chutzpah! Festival, an annual event in Vancouver that celebrates Jewish culture.

This year’s Chutzpah! Festival takes place between Feb. 11 and March 4. The festival will feature a performance by popular Israeli band Hadag Nahash and local acts like Santa Lucia.

Last year, Raichel told Shalom Life that he was working on new music and that 2012 would be “an interesting year.” It looks like it’s also going to be a busy year for the Israeli musician; he’s slated to perform in Israel, Europe and Canada. Before heading to Vancouver, Raichel will perform in Toronto in March.
