For those who missed it this morn, the Academy Award nominations were announced. Undoubtedly, nominees graciously accept thanks from anyone and everyone, uncork a bottle of the ol’ bubbly, ponder potential acceptance speeches, all that sort of business. But what of the unfortunate folks who were snubbed by Oscar? Well, there is always Twitter.

Albert Brooks (who was bestowed a Golden Globe nomination for his role in Drive) took to the Twitterverse tongue firmly planted in cheek.

"I got ROBBED. I don't mean the Oscars, I mean literally. My pants and shoes have been stolen," tweeted the actor/writer/director/comedian.

"And to the Academy: "You don't like me. You really don't like me," Brooks continued, paying homage of sorts, to Sally Fields Oscar acceptance speech for 1984’s Places in the Heart.

Another notable funnyman who was snubbed by the Academy was Patton Oswalt, for his role in Young Adult. In the spirit of camaraderie, Oswalt took to Twitter in response to Brooks.

“Join me for a drink at The Drawing Room, @AlbertBrooks? Me and Serkis have been here since 6am… See you later tonight. Might be out of booze -- Serkis has Pogues on the jukebox & Fassbender just showed up in a pirate hat… Oh shit -- we're DEFINITELY going to run out of booze. Charlize & Tilda just pulled up in a stolen police car… Dude, GET DOWN HERE. Gosling is doing keg stands and Olsen & Dunst LITERALLY just emerged from a shower of rose petals… Nolte & Plummer just drove past, mooning us. Serkis & Tilda are signing ‘Is There Life on Mars?’ “ Oswalt tweeted in rapid succession.

Truly, the Oscar-snub-party to end, any and all Oscar parties. Period.
