Gene Simmons Calls Rhianna a “Fake”
The KISS frontman called the pop singer’s music “bullsh*t”
Gene Simmons joined Billboard for an interview to promote KISS’ upcoming US tour. Instead of focusing on his bands music, he decided to take advantage of his platform by using the time to insult other performers.
Simmons expressed his concern about stadiums that were once filled with rock bands and are now occupied by pop acts.
“We’re sick and tired of girls getting up there with dancers and karaoke tapes in back of them,” he told Billboard.
“No fake bullshit. Leave that to the Rihanna, Shimiana, and anyone else who ends their name with an ‘a’”, Simmons continued.
KISS plans to co-headline a US tour this summer with Motley Crue. The bands will each play a 90-minute set and 40 dates.
KISS is also headlining the Sonisphere festival this summer with Faith No More and Queen featuring Adam Lambert.
