Michael Moore is best known for his thought-provoking and often controversial documentaries, such as ‘Bowling for Columbine’ and ‘Fahrenheit 9/11’… so it may come as a surprise to discover that Moore is covering a Bob Dylan song. So you ask, how did this happen? The answer is simple. It started off as joke.

A new album entitled ‘Occupy This Album’ is being released, featuring 99 artists for the 99 percent. Michael Moore was approached by the album’s creators to direct a music video for the album, and he jokingly suggested he should sing instead.

“They had asked me 2 direct a music video of the album,” Moore tweeted. “I said, ‘You don’t want me 2 sing a song?’ They called my bluff & said ‘Yes!Sing!’ Ha.”

And sing he did. Moore gives a surprisingly good performance of Bob Dylan’s classic 1964 protest anthem. Give the track a listen below.
