Scarlett Johansson & Robert Pattison Star in ‘Hate Mail’
The ‘Twilight’ star joins ‘Avengers’ Scarlett Johansson in new film.
Robert Pattinson is very close to confirming a starring role in the new Michael Benaroya film, “Hate Mail”.
Not many details on “Hate Mail” have been released, other than it stars the Black Widow herself, Scarlett Johansson, and follows a group of people living in New York that receive some degree of hate mail.
Variety writes that “Hate Mail” will “feature interweaving stories about several Manhattanites who encounter various iterations of hate mail and grapple with the subsequent fallout of their relationships.”
I’m not quite sure I understand the concept of this film, but you can’t go wrong with these two as co-stars, so I suppose plot is irrelevant.
Robert Pattinson, who first gained fame in the “Twilight” series, has managed to prove himself as a serious actor over the past year. After starring in period drama, “Bel Ami”, Pattison went on to appear in David Cronenberg’s “Cosmopolis”. Pattison recently signed on to a thriller about Saddam Hussein, and is currently being considered as Christian Grey in the “Twilight” erotica fan fiction film adaptation of “Fifty Shades of Grey”.
ScarJo is keeping pretty busy as well. She just wrapped up “Under the Skin” and is filming “Hitchcock” where she takes on the role of legendary Janet Leigh. Also in the works for Johansson are “Don Jon’s Addiction” and her directorial debut based upon Truman Capote’s “Summer Crossing”.
