Virgin Atlantic called in Britain’s Information Commissioners Office (ICO) to investigate, after it revealed that one of its employees leaked flight information in April, for more than 70 celebrities to a photography agency.

The ICO, which is a data protection regulator, has launched a probe after Virgin found evidence that the employee supplied London-based agency, Big Pictures, with travel info for Sacha Baron Cohen, Daniel Radcliffe, Rihanna, Russell Brand, and Madonna’s progeny amongst others.

“Following the allegations in the press in April, we voluntarily contacted the Information Commissioner's Office and have fully assisted with their enquiries. Our internal investigation found no evidence that this was anything other than an isolated incident relating to a single member of staff who is no longer with the business. We continue to treat the security of customer information extremely seriously and apologize to the passengers affected," Virgin Atlantic said in a statement to The Guardian.

The airline said it found no further evidence of other employees engaging in such activities. The aforementioned employee, whose identity has yet to be disclosed, resigned from the company.
