Drake Stars in New Ice Age 4 Trailer [VIDEO]
The rap superstar lends his voice to the newest Ice Age installment
Ice Age: Continental Drift is the most highly anticipated animated film this year. It stars a stellar cast including Drake, Nicki Minaj, Queen Latifah, Jennifer Lopez, and Ray Romano.
Drake and Minaj play young mammoths, Ethan and Haley. Queen Latifah returns as the mammoth matriarch, Ellie, while JLo portrays sabre-tooth tiger, Shira.
Yes, the cast is comprised mostly of hip hop and music personalities, but we must remember that Drake, Queen Latifah, and Jennifer Lopez first saw their rise to fame in TV and film.
Also, Nicki Minaj apparently studied drama while in high school, so perhaps that counts for something?
Ice Age: Continental Drift also stars John Leguizamo, Aziz Ansari, Wanda Sykes, Keke Palmer, and Joy Behar.
In the latest installment, Scrat continues his insane pursuit of the cursed acorn, but this time it has world-changing consequences. He accidentally creates a continental cataclysm that triggers a wonderful adventure for Manny, Diego, and Sid. Sid finally reunites with family, but the group encounters a group of pirates that try to prevent them from returning home.
Ice Age: Continental Drift hits theaters July 13th.
