Porn Star James Deen & Lindsay Lohan Join ‘The Canyons’

Lohan is currently in the studio filming Lifetime’s ‘Liz & Dick’ in which she portrays the legendary Elizabeth Taylor, and according to Bret Easton Ellis’ Twitter feed, she just signed on to co-star in the screenwriter’s upcoming film, ‘The Canyons’.
‘The Canyons’, written by Ellis and directed by Paul Schrader, is described on the films Kickstarter page as a thriller about “five twenty-somethings’ on a quest for power, love, sex, and success in 2012 Hollywood”.
Ellis, Schrader and producer Baxton Pope are financing the majority of the project themselves, but have decided to raise additional funds through Kickstarter to gain time and more equipment, and “maybe two makeup people instead of one or zero”, Schrader says. At this time, ‘The Canyons’ has raised $159,000 through Kickstarter.
Lindsay Lohan will star in the film alongside one of our Top 50 JILF’s, porn star James Deen. ‘The Canyons’ will mark Deen’s first foray into mainstream cinema, but this transition comes as no surprise. Mainstream press has celebrated his work in porn flicks. He has been labeled the ‘ladies porn star’ because of his boy-next-door looks, charm, and lack of sleaze.
While raising money for ‘The Canyons’, Ellis has also started a Twitter campaign to adapt ‘Fifty Shades of Grey’.
