Woody Allen Spoofed by Funny or Die [VIDEO]
Funny or Die makes fun of Woody Allen’s new love of Europe
Remember when Woody Allen centered all of his films around his hometown of Manhattan? Well, it seems the writers at Funny or Die miss those days.
In a new Funny or Die spoof, Allen’s recent penchant for setting his films in European locations (Vicky Christina Barcelona, Midnight in Paris, To Rome With Love) is mocked by three actors playing Woody himself, Jesse Eisenberg and Owen Wilson, who starred in To Rome With Love and Midnight in Paris respectively.
“Eisenberg” and “Allen” joke about the lack of sophistication displayed by their beautiful American girlfriends.
"Yesterday I was talking to my beautiful, much younger wife, and she had absolutely no idea who Louie Armstrong is!" fake-Woody exclaims.
“I’m in the exact same predicament. My beautiful wife hates Europe!” fake-Owen chimes in.
The trailer, entitled “My Wife Doesn’t Understand As Much About Jazz As This Beautiful Italian Prostitute” is hilarious.
