Casey Abrams Self-Titled Debut Album

American Idol’s Casey Abrams released his debut album self-titled on Tuesday. The singer spoke with The Hollywood Gossip about what his fans can expect, and also addressed a cause very important to him.

"Expect fun," Abrams told THG. "There are some singer/songwriter vibes, some upright guitar. A little bit of everything."

Abrams is going on a national tour to promote the new release over the next few weeks, but don’t expect anything flashy.

"I'm just packing up my little Grand Marquis, maybe my ukulele, and we'll see where the wind takes me," he says

During Abrams’ season of American Idol, many of his fans were concerned he would not return to the show after an emergency hospital visit. Luckily, he did return, but now Abrams’ is dedicating his philanthropic efforts towards creating awareness of the disease that could have disqualified him: Inflammatory Bowel Disease.

Since American Idol, Abrams has joined forced with IBDIcons, and released a music video that can be viewed online.

"It's more of a common disease than I realized," Abrams said. "It's smart to create awareness about it, so I figured I'd make a music video. Kids watch music videos, right?"
