Mac Miller Releases “America” Video for 4th of July
The rapper drops a patriotic track for Independence Day
Can you think of a better way to celebrate 4th of July than with a patriotic rap music video? What if it stars Mac Miller and guest stars Casey Veggies and Joey Bada$$? I didn’t think so.
“America”, a track off Mac Miller’s Macadelic mixtape, features Miller, Casey Veggies, and Joey Bada$$ over a Hannibal King jazz track.
The music video, displaying American flags draped over the backs of the starring rappers, was shot in New York City on April 25th- the same day Mac Miller played to sold out audiences at Roseland Ballroom.
"It's like the story of someone who is growing up, trying to figure out who he is and trying to figure out what he's supposed to do in the world and how he's gonna change it," Miller told Mixtape Daily of his song.
"I think it's a great piece because it's a great part of my career, it's a great time right now and I feel like I been making mixtapes for five years, so this one is very special to me.
"I was trying to make a complete project, but on this project, all I wanted to do is just say what was on my mind," he continued.
