Charlie Sheen Giving 1% of ‘Anger Management’ Profits to Troops
The actor has promised a minimum of $1million to the USO.
Charlie Sheen has promised to provide 1% of FX’s ‘Anger Management’ profits to the USO, with a guaranteed minimum of $1 million. This generous donation will mark the largest gift given by an individual to the organization that provides U.S military personnel “morale, welfare and recreation-type services at hundreds of locations around the world.”
"It's an honor for me to be able to give back to these men and women of the military who have done so much for all of us," Sheen said in a press release.
"They put their lives on the line for us every day, and I'm just happy that my work on 'Anger Management' can bring a little bit of relief to the troops and their families."
There will be no cap on how much the donation can add up to… so essentially the more people that watch ‘Anger Management’, the more money U.S military personnel receives as part of an ongoing USO campaign entitled “Operation Enduring Care.”
“Operation Enduring Care” focuses on taking care of injured troops and their families.
"His support is greatly appreciated, especially from our wounded warriors and their families," said retired Air Force brigadier general and USO Executive Vice President, John Pray Jr.
