You have already met Mel.

Now let’s find out how her first date with Nathaniel went down. You know it was successful since she was selected for the Top 3, but what exactly did they do on their date? What did they talk about? What do they have in common?

Read Mel and Nathaniel’s thoughts on their first date below, and check back soon to find out how their second date goes.

Mel’s thoughts on meeting Nathaniel:

I just had my first date with Nathaniel, our bachelor, and I’m excited to share it with you. Our meeting time was 6:30 and after a hectic day, I just left work in enough time to make it. We met at a restaurant new to both of us. The weather was perfect so we sat on the patio and the atmosphere was nice and relaxed.

I instantly felt at ease talking to Nathaniel and was surprised at how easily the conversation flowed. The restaurant is known for Toronto’s best Sangria and I think Nathaniel and I would both agree that they lived up to this reputation...I highly suggest you try their Lychee Sangria! The food was delicious and the service was great.

After the meal, Nathaniel and I sat chatting for quite some time. It was interesting to find we had many similarities despite very different backgrounds. We learned about each others’ families, careers, life goals and most interesting of all, previous horror dating stories! In all, it was a lovely evening and Nathaniel was the perfect gentleman. I’m looking forward to what the future holds J

Nathaniel’s thoughts on meeting Mel:

I met Mel at a place I have never been to but apparently known to have the best Sangria in the city – we tried it and it definitely does! We decided to have dinner outside, the weather was great and the patio was relatively quiet so it was a perfect venue to talk and get to know each other.

The conversation was very intriguing. That’s because Mel is calm, intelligent, and so interesting to speak with. Mel also has the unique characteristics of being quite selfless and extremely genuine. We had some really great lengthy discussions about our careers and the paths that led us there.

We also spent time talking about traveling which gave me some insights on Mel’s cultural background and openness to new adventures as am I. The evening felt relaxed, easy, very enjoyable and just flew right by.
