Adam Sandler’s 'Hotel Transylvania' Premiering at TIFF
The comedian’s animated movie will be featured at Toronto’s annual film festival.
Adam Sandler hasn’t had a movie premiere at a respectable film festival in the last five years (maybe even longer). And let’s face it, there’s no way he’d get into festivals with movies like Jack and Jill and That’s My Boy.
But things have changed for the Happy Gilmore star. His latest flick, an animated movie co-starring Selena Gomez and Andy Samberg, will premiere as part of the TIFF Kids programme.
Directed by Genndy Tartakovsky, Hotel Transylvania tells the story of a guy who discovers a secretive resort owned by Dracula (played by Sandler) and takes a liking for his teenage daughter. Aside from Sandler and Gomez, the film features the voices of Kevin James, Fran Drescher, Jon Lovitz and Boardwalk Empire’s Steve Buscemi.
Other films premiering in Toronto via the Kids programme include the Israeli co-production Igor & The Cranes’ Journey (about an 11-year-old boy who moves from Russia to Israel) and the highly-anticipated Finding Nemo 3D.
