‘Tis a sad day for Israeli fans of rocker Lenny Kravitz, as he has cancelled his scheduled gig in Tel Aviv on October 6th. The concert at Nokia Palace would have marked the musician’s debut in Israel.

Evidently, said date had to be cancelled due to scheduling conflicts for a feature film. According to reports, European tour dates for Kiev, Bucharest, and Istanbul likewise had to be cancelled, however according to Kravitz’s website, only the Tel Aviv listing did not provide ticket information thus far.

The 48-year-old singer/actor is slated to star in two ensemble films, The Butler which shoots from August 6th until October 7th, and the hotly anticipated sequel to The Hunger Games, The Hunger Games: Catching Fire which commences principle photography in September. Although he isn’t a major character, Kravitz will still reprise his role of Cinna in the film.

The Butler
, which stars Alex Pettyfer, John Cusack, and Robin Williams among others, is set for release sometime in 2013, while, Catching Fire will be released, undoubtedly to much fanfare, on November 22, 2013.
