Miley Cyrus Hooks Up With Israeli DJ Borgore for ‘Decisions’
The former Hannah Montana contributes vocals (kind of) to new dubstep track
Miley Cyrus seems to be in the midst of revamping her public persona and officially shedding herself of ‘Hannah Montana’; she chopped off her long hair, got engaged to ‘Hunger Games’ star Liam Hemsworth, and has now contributed vocals to Israeli DJ Borgore’s newest dupstep track.
The new track entitled ‘Decisions’ has already caused quite a stir, mostly with complaints surrounding Cyrus’ vocals, or lack thereof.
“’Decisions’ are Miley’s backing vocals laced around a track that’s neither particularly inventive nor that cathartic… In fact, her singing is so subtle that we weren’t even sure this was one of her songs. Was it a publicity stunt by Borgore?” writes The Huffington Post.
The audio track with accompanying still image is available on YouTube. Even Cyrus’ fans seemed to be a little confused.
One user wrote ‘Where the f—k is Miley’s voice?” while another chimed in, “Miley does not sing practically.”
Regardless of the criticism, Cyrus seems happy to promote her collaboration.
“Yo check out Decisions me &@Borgore new track,” she tweeted.
